Overthrowing the Tyranny of Airport Codes

Airport codes date back to the birth of online travel. It was decided flight search was such a powerful breakthrough, that asking travelers to learn special airport codes was a small price to pay. Early insiders felt the world would quickly learn EWR is for Newark Liberty International Airport and CGK is for Jakarta Soekarno-Hatta International Airport. Travelers would evolve, describing travel as "that great trip to ORD, DFW and XYZ."

Of course, airport codes never got cool. Instead, online trip planning became a three-letter purgatory.

Relovate doesn't need airport codes.

Now, all you need is an address. Relovate's smart trip technology can take any address, office, home, client, girlfriend, boyfriend, doesn't matter. Relovate finds all the airports and ranks them in order of proximity to the addresses you have provided. This is extremely helpful when traveling to an unfamiliar destination.

For example, you need to get from 7227 Delainey Court, Sarasota, Florida for whatever reason to 235 East 40th Street, NY, NY. Sarasota is served by multiple airports. NYC is served by multiple airports. By using the addresses, Relovate finds ALL the airports and brings back all the flight options.

Multiple airports means seeing maximum options, which means you're chances of finding the lowest cost flights are improved.

The biggest advantage to using addresses to rapidly bring back all the airport options to expand your option set and maximize your choices. It may be the case that while one airport is closer to your destination, an airport only a few miles further away creates more choice.  Better, there be more less costly options, or options with fewer stops. Or deals.

Only pilots are impressed with airport codes. And the airport itself is just a waypoint in your journey, and a big place to park the planes. We travel address to address. Using addresses which mark the start and end points of your travel should be natural. And it certainly is easier then memorizing three letter abbreviations, with no apparent meaning. Now, with Relovate, you can find airports and produce flight plan options based on where you are leaving from and going to—just like you travel.

You're welcome.
